Bank of Liverpool in Victoria Road, Seacombe. This road later was to become Borough Road. I think the Bank of Liverpool was taken over by Martins Bank. Didn't it recently become a bar

It's sad how depressing this road, and Seacombe in general, have become. Years ago it used to be a busy shopping area. King Street and Brighton Street too I think. Well before my time but that's what my Nan said. Now it's mostly just boarded up shops with the odd Bookmaker, Off Licence and Chip inbetween.

Great pictures as usual though, Pablo.

My nan used to call this area "the village". I could never understand why?? Apparantly, yes it used to be thriving.

It wasn't that long ago neither. I remember that area in the sixties and it was busy. Hard to imagine now though

In the 80s the bank was a Barclays it then became a pub called The Sandbank of which it still is Today. my Parents also called Borough Rd the village.
