Went for a look around the Alfred Dock entrance area (with permission from the Harbour Master's Office). Found the Dock Masters Lodge, a WW2 pillbox and a Hydraulic tower. Most of this used to be accessible via a footpath but you are no longer allowed across the lock without permission.

Nah, that was the b*ggers in the Dublin Ferry terminal, waving cameras and everything at me - they even had my phone number wink raftl

I didn't know that pillbox was there, even though its been disguised as a Wendy House.

Lovely brick and stone designs. Hope they get restored and somehow incorporated in any development, and not demolished!
