On the right of the picture 2 cruisers HMS DIDO & CHARYBDIS. HMS Dido survived the war, Charybdis on the right was sunk in 1943 in the English channel with heavy losses.

Lovely pics..

HMS Dido had 5.25in dual purpose main guns - witness the high elevation in the picture - for Anti Aircraft purposes.

She survived more than few hairy moments on the Malta convoys - from the Luftwaffe.
