There is a guided walk around this cemetry which shall reveal interesting facts of famous people buried there and its history which may appeal to some of our members, i for one shall be going as is paganjay.

Sunday 14th September around Roman Catholic Area


Meeting at Main gates on Tollemache Road at 10.30am

Walks last approx 2 hours

Please ring Tam'O'Shanter Urban Farm on 0151 653 9332 to book your place

The walks are run by the Friends of Flaybrick Memorial Gardens.

Come and find out about the history of the beginnings of Birkenhead and the famous people buried at Flaybrick

there is a grave in there ov a solider killed in the zooloo war its spot on thay will show you on the toar lads if they dont ask loads ov good stuff to see have a goo one

No, I was meant to be on the phone to the local constabulary so had to be brief raftl pardon the pun. It'll be on their website I guess.

Good point about just wandering round and listening in - no laws against it as far as I know.

I was just thinking that. All the places were taken by the time I rang up to make my reservation frown I'm thinking maybe some of those that went may be able to pass on the information, or at least some of it, on a guided walk of our own think

yeah I have been on 1 of the tours.There is 4 tours in total.I didnt go this weekend but I really do recomend it.Very interesting stuff.It is free but the guides do ask for a donation of wich I was more than happy to give.
