there used to be a bathroom kitchen /diy shop running along side it in conway street(where the cool rooms and beach are now)that was forced to close due to lack of custom when they were taking it down

If my dad drove quick enough up it the conway street one

There is some pictures in the PDF, but despite months of searching, I havent yet been able to find modern photos of the Conway St Flyover or the old Birkenhead Bus Station located alongside it.

If you have Firefox then I'd recommend DownloadHelper to snatch embedded Flash content myself.

Is there any more flyovers such as this or the one that was to be build between Jct 4 & 5 (I think) on the M53, or major roads that were never built?

A lot of the Bidston Fly over box sections where made in Cammell Lairds

wow them pix are brill. loving the lack of H&S

some of us can remember the town prior to the fly overs, and the M53 and all the other alterations that where made to the tunnel entrance, and even when the dock entrance was in use.

always wondered why the flyover had a dead end. nice job on the info
