International man of mystery, JJ Abrams, brings us another mind-boggling pilot which had us scratching our heads just like the pilots of his shows Lost and Fringe.

Like Lost, there's time-travelling, flashbacks, er, an island and... Jorge Garcia! The mystery is that 302 prisoners disappeared from Alcatraz in 1963 and are reappearing in present-day San Francisco having aged not one iota. Can detective Rebecca Madsen (Sarah Jones), Alcatraz expert Doc (Garcia) and government agent Hauser (Sam Neill) track them down? Pure escapism.
