'District 9' claims UK box office No.1 - 9th Sep 2009 8:41pm
Peter Jackson's sci-fi thriller District 9 has topped the UK box office chart on its first week of release with £2.8 million.
Last week's number one The Final Destination falls to second place with £1.9 million, while rom-com 500 Days Of Summer enters at three.
Tarantino's Inglorious Basterds slips to fourth and Adam Sandler's Funny People drops two spots to fifth.
Meanwhile, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince spends another week inside the Top 10 at nine.
