FYI.

There's a serious flood on the Penny Bridge. Looks like a burst water main. Certainly didn't chance cycling through it this afternoon.

Avoidance recommended.

It is still going strong, they have a JCB with it's scoop over the hole to keep the pressure down.

Traffic is chaos on duke street, people driving on the pavement etc.

And the only warning signs are those right next to the flooding, another cock up by Wirral Council highways dept or who ever, needs a kicking up the back side for the chaos on the roads with only one bridge open!
