Didn't know the bit about the kid dying on the railway at New Brighton station trying to hide from AKI. Any sympathies I might have had for the clearly mental Aki vanished at that point.

I thought he was dead.

All that has just made me feel physically sick.

Typical BBC- paint a sex pest as a victim. Tut.

Talk of our school at the time- some girls knew the lad who died.

I remember hearing about the lad that died trying to hide from him but the kids are still talking about him today

Just watched this last night on BBC iPlayer
http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/p0472z6v/the-man-who-squeezes-muscles-searching-for-purple-aki
When growing up he was a myth and we would joke about seeing him whilst playing in Bidston Hill and the rods with shouts of RUN! it's Purple Aki.
That was until the death of that poor lad at New Brighton. The jokes and myth changed to reality.
What a sick and strange f##k

And there's even more:

I well remember the Kelly case. There was graffiti around Park Station at the time saying things like "Aki must die" and such like.
