Mother in law received a letter to say they are locating 100 Syrian refugees near by. Not quite sure where they can accommodate that many unless they have been tidying up empty houses around north end. Good luck to them. Took long enough.
Its supposed to 100 over the next 4 years, not all landing at once.
We are also supposed to be providing 30 asylum seeker properties.
I thought some were already here. St. Anselm's College hosted about 70 in a run up to last Christmas. Maybe they came across from Liverpool but would assume (which may be wrong) that they would have been Syrian Christians.
Turns out that a leaflet was a scam!!!
