The Mersey Ferry 'Royal Daffodil' has been laid-up at Duke St bridge for a few years now, due to cost cutting measures and rumours of being up for sale.
Yesterday, Tuesday 31st May, she wasn't there. No sign of her on Ships AIS either.
I'm sure she was there last week.
Anybody know what's happening?
Its gone into Cammell Laird's to get some work done.
Royal Daffodil looking rather tatty as she is towed to Cammell Laird yesterday for hull survey
info was on twitter
She's a bit low in the water considering she is empty.
Thanks DD.
I thought it looked a bit low as well, and had been getting lower over the past couple of months.
There is another locally built asset going to rust, disrepair, disappear...
Thanks Ed, but I don't do Twitter.
That ok Mr Norton, put that I found it on twitter as to give dues as I put link on most posts I post but with twitter you would of loged in as me with said link lol
Alls good
Yes she been in for a clean and hull survey did hear the rumour but it is not supposed to be true plus she is still under merseytravels control as they have been in every day
