Unconfirmed but thought I would share here, there is a dead horse on the beach at New Brighton, near to the pavilion slipway.

Not sure who deals with this,

How sad

Awwwwww, how sad. frown I wonder whether the poor horse was being transported on a ship? I remember seeing a dead sheep on Egremont beach, a few years ago.

Completely Agree Mark it was a strange and sad sight, I also understand that that headline and situation make for excellent comedy material.

Think the response to cleaning up would have been quicker if it was August Bank Holiday.

Bit of a mystery, anyone know what happened?

I met a rspca guy at otterspool who explained that in the menai straights after a high tide the animals are lifted up and carried down stream. His job was finding the tags on the sheep and reporting back to the welsh farmer. They also jump of ships at the docks.

More likely off a field up Runcorn & Widnes marshes.

Not that uncommon but usually removed by the Council crew. However, perhaps we don't have one of those any more or the equipment to deal with it so have to outsource the means of removal and disposal.

This could be a hoax tho couldn't it?

Not sure how or why you would hoax a dead horse on a beach.

It was reported to Wirral Council.
