blue hatchback car (looks like a corsa to me) just crashed into the wall of St Caths oppositte harrowby road,looks like they've sped up harrowby and lost control and gone straight into the wall by the bus stop.
police were in pursuit and the people in the car ran away through st caths, police on foot pursuit.
wall has been knocked down at st caths, i can see Derby Road being slow traffic for the forseeable few hours at least while they get the car out the wall and the such.
update: female (early-mid 40's ish it looked) in custody, she was hiding in st caths car park. chopper also out. police seem to be looking for someone else.
Blooming hek ,could have been a BAD crash , jumping the road like that...at least she has been caught...i live very near by, never heard anything.

no, the blue car's still in the wall outside, one police officer guarding it. nothing else in the area. i believe scene of crime officers have been out but they seem to have gone again (been in a meeting 11-12 so unable ti give updates as to what happened between them times)
Just left St Caths, car being loaded onto recovery vehicle. Could only see one police officer, directing traffic. Not much traffic at the moment so no prob getting through
update: car was stolen. a male was later apprehended.
allegidly the whole saga was because a handbag was stolen by the people in the car, who then drove away at speed after seeing the police and then obviously straight into the wall at St Caths where they bailed.
Went passed at 12.35 , no car in the wall then , what an impact that must have been, the wall and railings both very damaged.It could have been FATAL ...glad they have been caught..
