WikiWirral has recieved an invite from Riverside Bowls in New Brighton. Would members like to attend a bit of a free taster session of LaserQuest? Time and Date to be arranged depending on interest.

Good question.I wonder if there would be a limited number allowed to attend the company would run out of profit with all them freebies.

Its a genuine offer.
I just don't have the time to follow it through hence Rudebox has the lead on this one.

I was invited down by the manager shown around and I was amazed at how fantastic the whole place is. The Lazer Quest looks so much fun. The bowling the bar the pool tables food its a great set up. If you've not been before you will amazed at what you can do under one roof !!

Get your names down as there will be limited spaces.

It is open to everyone to show interest, just like the UE and walks and ghosthunts ect we have been on , but only the same people come ,we are open to more people ....

is there an age limit? because if its ok for a 6yr old id love to bring my grandson

It wouldn't be suitable for a youngsters the lazer quest. However there is other stuff there for the little ones.

Its not just lazer quest there is bowling cafe and arcade machines too.

i just double checked the website says its ok for 6yrs and over so are they included in the free offer?

I would get rude to check.

They wear a body harness that records hits etc. I only seen adult ones when I was shown around, so they could have ones for younger ones if thats what the website says.

There is a chance a youngster could get scared if they have not seen it before, its in a darkened area with neon lights and glitter balls for effect not sure if there is fake smoke too. Im sure they would show you and you could decided at the time. So if your grandson isn't timid he may be ok. But let Rudebox find out for you. Hope the extra info helps.

Hi Rocks - 6 year olds are fine to do LaserQuest as long as they are 1.1 meters or over as the packs are quite big and heavy.

Guys- If we can make the numbers up to 10 then we can also enjoy some discounted bowling too!!!

For those people who would like an indication of when this Event is likely to take place: we are looking at evenings (after 6pm. I will have more information regarding availability on Friday/ Saturday.

Re. kids that you may want to bring- if they have never been before then it might be an idea to take them along to view the Laserquest 'room' and let them have a look at it first. It's quite dark with loud music and full of smoke so not all kids will like it. The 'official' restriction is that children under 6 years of age and /or under 1.1metres in height are unable to partake.

We are looking at 1 free game of Laser and 1 game of bowling for£1.95 per person, which I think you will agree is an excellent price for a fun-packed evening.

Speaking of 'wimping out' what is the consensus of having the bars up on the bowling lanes? lol
I think yes as there are beginners and little people- with the bars up- we are all on a equal playing field.

I have at least tried bowling many moons ago when it used to be called new Brighton bowl. Don't know if that will help me. I think not about lane buffers or bars that is deffo wimping out. Be brave.....

Lane barriers up or down , it should be FUN , who will have the OAPs on their team lol Have got my silly head on .....Coools are you male or female, i know most .....

Cools, don't worry about meeting us all ,we are a 'friendly' bunch .When i joined 2 years ago, i went on the Southport trip and did not know anyone .It is a good way of meeting new people...

I was amazed at Riverside at just how much was on offer. There is lots to do in there and so much fun. Its a great venue for any kind of get together / party.
