Volunteer for Poppy Appeal


WIRRAL'S Royal British Legion is looking for volunteers for this year's Poppy Appeal.

The branch, which escaped closure last year, is looking for volunteers to give up their time during the two weeks around Remembrance day to collect at supermarkets and other locations.

As well as collectors, volunteers are also needed to help distribute poppies and count donations.

Julie Dove, Poppy Appeal co-ordinator for Cheshire, said: " It's a common view that those involved in the Poppy Appeal need to be ex service or have some links with the service. That isn't the case.”
