After my last laptop died (acer) I foolishly bought another one, 14 months later it too died, same symptoms. I bought a new power supply and it still wouldn't come back to life.

I put it in the cupboard with the other dead Acer.

Recently I decided to try and bring these back to life as there are a few deserving people I know need a laptop.

Can anyone help? It seems a common problem, and a terrible waste.

Take them along to Roy at Akita Consoles,
387 Poulton Rd, Wallasey CH44 4DD. He's the cheapest repair guy I know and very willing.
At the very least, he'll tell you what's wrong with them.

He is good he fixed my hp slate there and then and he is very cheap .

What were the symptoms? Bluescreen or just not powering up?
