You can rate topics on here but very few people use this.

Facebook is taking a backward step, a very common request in the past on forum softwares was to separate the like and dislike as likes were found useful and dislikes caused too much trouble.

That feature is coming.. Its being written in as we speak.
It will have a "Unlike" button, which im not a fan of as its the content not the person your rating. But we will know more as its developed in to a final feature.

Rate Topics : is there but not used as much as it could be. The rating does not give enough feedback to the end user to be honest.
Rate a Member : I turned this off as it was calculated unfairly.

For now : use the Shareaholic icons there good smile
I would like a so what button or a who cares for some of the more ridiculous stuff people put on
great

I think its a bad idea. Facebook is already far too awash with negatively, bit_ching and conflict without adding a dislike button to rub people up the wrong way.
withthat
If I see something I don't like I just ignore it.
Perhaps a 'Meh' button would be less confrontational?
Or just a FO button. (When you get it the F***O**) lol
Or a Tossa button lol.

Dislikes i dont agree, ignore it and move on.
Or a WTF button or Whatever but I tend to pass if I don't like something.Think people will get offended unless you've got friends on there with a sense of humour
Perhaps it is not true at all
