i have an ipod touch 3rd gen and in the settings i have the option of turning bluetooth on or off. now i'll be going on bike trails etc in the coming summer months and would like to listen to music without wires being everywhere or getting caught up in things so was looking to get a bluetooth set of earphones like these or these but i've heard/read online contradictory claims as to whether the ipod touch would work with them or if you need to buy specific ones from apple (because apple are ba*tards like that) in order to have bluetooth headphones.

Does anyone here have any ideas as to whether or not the ones i've mentioned will work or not????

cheers.

Im not a apple person, so I'm guessing.

You could ask the question to the buyer and then it would / Could help if the item didn't work.

Bluetooth is wireless tech.
So as long as the versions of blue tooth are compatible then there should be no issues.

Bluetooth versions are adding more and more functionality to our devices as they connect to others.

If your 3rd gen is for example Bluetooth version 4.1 and the headset is 4.4 you could loose some function as in, skip or rewind a track via your headphones controls.

Hope that helps.

I can't coment on the headphones you are asking about but I can say that I have used bluetooth headphones not supplied by apple. I use plantronics backbeat headphones. Adding to Marks point of compatability, i would add that I have not carried out any updating of software etc so don't know if any of them would have any affect to the headphone function.

I gambled and bought the ones that i first linked to and happy to report they work perfectly. The sound quality is half decent as well!

Problem: solved
Nice to hear smile
