AC Adapter For Laptop - 26th Jun 2014 3:34pm
HI,
A bit of advice please
I have an Asus laptop but regularly take it up and down stairs while I'm doing the housework. The AC adapter is usually upstairs but if I'm going to use the laptop downstairs I unplug the adapter and plug and plug it into the socket downstairs. Last night I found in my box of electrical bits and pieces a spare adapter and plug. When I looked at the back of both adapters there was a bit of difference.
ASUS adapter - Input - AC100-240V ~ 50-60Hz 2.0A
" " - Output - +19V-----3.42A LPS
Other Adapter - Input - 100-240V ~ 1.2-0.58A 50-60Hz
" " - Output - 24V----2.5A
The question is - if I plug my laptop into this adapter will it work or will it damage it?
Many thanks
