Next thing you know the police will get someone else do to the work of the police, oh! they already do, they have the plastic policeman to do it, when they start stopping people at road junctions who seem to think being 1 or two car lengths away from the lines help them to see what's going on in the roads they are going to turn onto then they will be doing something worthwhile, it's getting to a point where they seem to be teaching this bad piece of driving, checkout the prom at New Brighton.

I don't see it the police getting others to do there work, they can not have a police car on every single road, am sure all sensible drivers would like to see the roads clear of idiots, so I think it's a brilliant idea.

We get a chance to rid the roads of idiots.

"In the event of a collision, your in-car DVR ‘Black Box’ will prove you were in the right, meaning your claim is agreed and finalised within a matter of days, not months."

Haha so said camera (£250) has a 360 responsive view does it..thought it was just pointing forwards....never heard of a rear end/side on collision??

And why is this inadmissible evidence?
I don't know why I`m asking this as obviously you think you know better and cant be bothered to tell us in the first place, oh wise one.

Your reply does not state why it is "inadmissible evidence in court".
The web site states..
Even a basic In Car Camera will demonstrate how you were driving at the time of the accident. It will show that there was good cause for you to stop or change direction and, combined with the presumption that anybody striking another car from the rear is at fault, your insurance company should support you completely. You will not lose your excess, nor will you suffer an increased premium in future, and settlement should be very swift. If you use a more sophisticated dash cam, incorporating black box technology, the evidence of your driving is incontrovertible.

Well if the website says it it must be true!

Does the camera prove who was driving at the time?

Does the camera give rear/ side views? There are many illegal claims today that target "staged" accidents.. I doubt this will prove this. Not all "rear enders" are the lead drivers fault!

Will the "camera" lead to villains therefore staging accidents to claim cash??

All a bit of a rip-off it seems!

Stick to a tyre iron in the boot to deal with any incidents...especially in Birkenhead (BirkenVegas!)

BTW its not even endorsed by the Official Police! Just an old boy who is intent on topping up his pension!!

Nice to know we have one perfect driver on here. I accept there are degrees of poor driving and i would probably say anyone who uses a mobile phone illegally while driving puts themselves in the "complete moron" category. oops thats me!.
They certainly provide good (and sad) entertainment on youtube. Looks like weve all sleepwalked into the big brother CCTV age.Not sure i want it on my xmas list though.

Who is the perfect driver? I would like to ask them what makes them a perfect driver.

I have used an App Called Autoguard Black Box for ages since I had a collision by B&Q in 2011 that was not my fault but the insurance companies decided it was 50/50.

The footage recorded IS admissible in court.
DJ DUCK Asked....

Does the camera prove who was driving at the time? It doesn't need to.

Does the camera give rear/ side views? There are many illegal claims today that target "staged" accidents.. I doubt this will prove this. Not all "rear enders" are the lead drivers fault! No just the front view, that's all that's needed, if you are hit in the side the front view will show what was going on at the time and prove its not your fault. Rear end collisions are deemed to be the rear cars fault automatically.

Will the "camera" lead to villains therefore staging accidents to claim cash?? no but it will prove its a non fault accident.

You seem to think dash cams are there to uncover all sorts of road crime, they are not, they will simply prove that a collision or incident was not your fault and speed up any claim/

Just don't get one if you have that opinion, simples...
