Hi, and Happy New year wink

Can you try

1/ Music CD
2/ Movie DVD

It may just be that when you put a CD in that the new anti virus software has disabled Auto Run (The popup screen that says what would you like to do).
If this is the case then you can access all you need via My Computer. You can also disable the block auto run on via your Anti Virus but its not recommended as viruses can be installed via an Auto Run.

Hope that helps.

Sometimes after a restore one or two drivers can be missing. Check on device manager and next to CD/DVD drive check if it has a yellow triangle.

Right click on the triangle select properties and update driver.

Failing that it could be a conflict of resources. Meaning two bits of hardware are cconflicting. Make sure there are not 2 conflicts.

Or visit the manufacturer website and down load the dvd drivers.
