Hi, I've just downloaded ICQ ready for when Windows Messenger goes over to Skype. My friend has now told me it's not safe. I know it's probably a bit late but, please, does anybody have any thoughts on this?

oh ok, thanks for that. Apparently there's a lot of adverse reviews on the downoad page. I guess I'll just have to monitor the situation.

What's wrong with Skype messaging? It works fine, it's very similar to Messenger.

ooops... I've never tried it - does it have all the emoticons, coloured texts, three-way chat etc? we don't want to have to pay for conferencing. I'm just going by what I've heard, that a chat for more than two people has to be paid for - maybe I'm wrong? (If I am I'll be a happy bunny!)
