I have a Blackberry 8220 clam mobile phone and use Orange as my service provider.
Since January the phone has started to leak credit by 2 pence each prepaid session.
IFAIK there are no apps on the phone that can contribute to the session cost and I've added nothing new.
I have contacted Orange who said I might have an unclosed app or browser that it trying to access the internet and thus consuming the credit, even though I've not used the internet or anything else for over a week the phone is still draining credit, I have attempted to switch everything off, wi-fi etc but it is still draining.

You will see by the chart below that since adding 5 pound credit on the 27 Feb at 12:18 it has almost immediately started to consume my credit by 0.02 pence each time.

Anyone an idea as to what might be causing this and a suitable solution to stop the money drain?

Wow, thats funny as i have thought that about my t mobile pay as you go.
When i see my balance its a bit less then i thought so ive added up my texts cos i have free mins and the cost of the texts dont add up to the balance i had left earlier.
Hope that makes sense lol, so i have thought also that my money is slowly draining away as well.

you may have free minutes but is there a connection fee for each phone call?

My mobile was doing that - turned out it was the 3G connecting willy nilly so I turned it off. Problem solved smile

There are three setting,
1/ Off when Roaming
2/ Off
3/ On

I did have the "Data Roaming" setting set to "Off when Roaming", however now I have set it to just "OFF" and it seems to have stopped the credit leakage.

Cheers,
