On my ps3 I can get a picture with scart lead in but when I put hd lead in all I get is sound but no pic any ideas thanks

Think u have to change something in settings to allow hdmi before putting hdmi lead in

That's correct we had a similar thread when I was MOD of this forum.

As Nigel and others confirmed, Its HDMi settings

Try setting as HDMI output 1080 or 720 depending on TV, check all cables are connected properly.

If all elese fails press and hold power button for 5 secs and it'll reset all video settings.

I had this with a PS3 a few years back, turned out i had a faulty hdmi connection port on the ps3 so Game ended up swapping straight over
