Played the Bioshock series? Those were good and had scifi elements.

Deus Ex: Human Revolutions was incredible as well and is based around scifi and conspiracies etc.

May I suggest you buy Alice.

Bioshock is brilliant.

I'd suggest downloading Alice first to see if you'll like it, cause I'm glad I did

Prototype is another game (though slightly old now, think it's from 2007) where you play in a sandbox world as a virus is taking over and your body mutates into different weapons etc.

Though if this "I like stagergy" is supposed to mean 'strategy' you can ignore my suggestions, I don't play rts games anymore

Encharted has just been released on Ps 3,

This is a good game completey different all the characters are in this one!

..That's Uncharted 3 which is not a pc or scifi game.

BF3 was just fooking terrible.

Post man just been and delivered a copy of Gothic 3 - forsaken gods, this game is only playable if it is patched and the patch is 1.5GB !!!

Demo's? Aren't they those things dev's used to release like 10 years ago so people could trial their games? These days beta's are the new demo's and they usually have stability problems. Nothing wrong with downloading the game to try if developers refuse to release a demo.

Gothic 3 is an old game but a vast area to explore, very cheap to buy and totally recommend it, there is a brill fan site which has the patches on it

The game I got today is a stand alone version of gothic 3 though its only worth playing now because of the hugh patch

But if you liked Gothic 3 that brings up a load of RPGs you could try, trying to keep with the scifi/gothic themes these come to mind:

Mass Effect 1 (and 2, but its worse than the first by a long shot)
Dragon Age 1 & Awakening (ignore DA2, it's a horrific console game)
Risen
The Witcher 2

Looks like Bioshock 3 won't be out till later next year, looking at media updates.

I quite liked the half life series, good old Gordon freeman and the gang.

Funny how looking back at those games you notice the likes of doom for instance, you couldn't look up or down. How annoying that is if played now.

I remember a part of the 1st batman game on the Amiga, you could turn corners in your batmobile wow. 3d before gta/ need for speed.

I assume you saw it on console..... try playing on a 3 grand PC before you make negative comments.....

also playing battlefield 3 its great on multi player

Let's get 2 things straight before we continue back and forthing any further.

1) only an idiot would pay £3k for a machine these days. The one I built that has the best of everything only came in at like £1.5k and that's with wc. How's that Alienware working out for you?

2) I don't play shooters on console, nor does any other real gamer. I was in the closed beta and then open beta and the game is terrible. If I wanted to play a badly ported console shooter that's trying to mimic CoD, I'd get an xbox 360 and play a shitty console shooter and do it properly.

More to the point, who would install Origin on their machine to feed data to EA? There's a reason Amazon.de has like 3300+ 1 stars for Bf3, and it's getting terrible scores on Amazon.co.uk & Amazon.com as well.

Borderlands is a good game i have had a go at that one!
As i mentioned before Deadspace is a goos one as well!

If you want to try something a bit different Mirror's Edge was pretty original. It's based around Parkour and environment exploitation.

Some of the oldish games are under a tenner and well worth it.

Real life, work and OU study take up most of my time but I do like to immerse myself in these games.

Not really into shooters, though Half life was good because it had a decent plot

Lol that one is different,Didnt really like that one much!

I was on Alpha and Beta for BF3 also, I'm loving it still.

It's all about teamwork and nothing like COD.

Don't know how you can say its mimicking COD, for a start there are no vehicles/aircraft other than the perk unlocks in cod.

Have you played it as a solo multi player or as part of a clan, that's where the fun starts, tactics and teamwork then come into play, if you want to lone wolf it stick to COD

There is also Fear 1 and 2 quite creepy game as well!

I played through the campaign (as far as possible, despite it being very linear and having more invisible walls than anything else I've ever played) but couldn't complete it due to a game bug.

I played the beta for a few dozen hours, solo, sniper, assault and played it with a group of gamers that I regularly play with. I don't play with/in clans - the mentality of the majority of clan players pisses me off a huge amount. I put hundreds of hours into bc2 and bc2:vietnam and, well, pretty much every big shooter you can think of that's come out in the past 10 years or so.

My point is I know and enjoy playing as a team and I enjoy soloing when I can't be arsed putting forth much of an effort, and bf3 was not a fun game. It just didn't feel right.

As for CoD the last one worth playing was MW2 and that got boring months and months ago. Waiting for MW3 which I hadn't pre-ordered this year because I intended to be playing BF3, but since that didn't happen I'm waiting on MW3 to replace it

I hate games where there is invisible walls, games like gothic and risen are brill because you can just go off and explore

Driver SF - Good game I actually wanted to complete.
Alien Vs Predator (the Sega 2010 version) - Good but short campaign.
Assassins Creed Series
Borderlands
Fallout 3 and New Vegas
Mass Effect 1 & 2

Fallout is a great game and can go on forever.
All the driver games are fab and the character Tanner is back on the latest one.

Driver is def one of my favs of this year

You got good taste on Games as well,
I love God of war, completed them all!

Never played God of War, but it does look good.

There is also Devil May cry brill game.
