what media format do you have installed on your pc.... ie windows media. Does it play on that? if not i've used FlV software which will play on windows media play and should work but i'm no expert... but FLV is a free download.

I use 'DVD Flick' HERE & always found it reliable , free & easy to use .

Just lob it on a DVD you don't need to convert it if it's avi.

This won't work with most DVD players, he'll have to convert it to dvd format before he can burn it.

Burning straight to disk as a data file will only work if he wants to play it on his computer. In which case there's no point putting it on a disk.

not if he buys one of those cheap pieces of crap from asda, if he has a sony unit or a toshiba no, it won`t work but if he has a throwaway dvd player or one with a usb port it will smile
Who uses discs these days anyway?

Just a thought. whistle

I use my xbox 360 to stream it to my telly. I even have a DVD player that can play avi's either by disc or by usb.

I feel modern.

my blu-ray player, plays data disks, dvd's are a thing of the past, a data disk will be able to hold 5 or 6 films that normally average around 700mb unless u want the ac3 5.1 audio which normall wacks them up to over a gig, with havin g a 7.1 surround sound the 700mb films tend to be ok
