Hi sorry if I come across dumb, can anyone tell does a notebook do everything a laptop can ? what can't it do ? i just want to download music/films Thanks

Notebook = Laptop

It's just the standardized name for a laptop, it's used more in the US than Europe however.

not quite... netbooks have no dvd drive, and generally speaking about a 10-11 inch screen.

Not much memory space either, and you'll be lucky to find one that comes with an instruction book! Fine for emailing & surfing the web though.

hi if your thinking of buying a laptop/web book have a look at a dell d400 its an early version of a net book but is a laptop just no dvd drive .i have one for sale and i am throwing in an external cd rw /dvd drive looking for £60 quid it is running linux mint but does pretty much what windows does well i am using it now to do this ! i am only selling this as i have an advent 7104 which i need a screen for thanks paul
