Id already heard the rumours that racing games would be introduced onto the 360, where you mimic the seating position and with your hands on the wheel. You also use your hands to change gear... and when in the pits you have to re-enact changing the wheels blah blah..I can imagine it being a fiddly piece of kit, being interfered with other moving things around it at some point.

Its a good idea in theory, but I think will prove annoying and lose its novelty if you simply want to sit down and play a game. Also, the 360 is coming to the end of its life, so frankly its a fairly stupid move from Microsoft to release it all now in my view.

Another thing I find stupid is the fact that Microsoft are buying titles that were originally only available on playstation, to try and stamp the PS3 off the market.

Why dont playstation just release Gran Turismo 5 for gods sake ????????????

Also, with that Milo thing.

Isnt that just a tiny bit sad?
You come in from work or school, and instead of going and meeting with real people, socialising etc... you're stuck in talking to a computer generated character, which in reality means your talking to yourself?

I think it is a fantastic idea. I wouldn't say it was any less of a gimic than the Nintendo Wii. It is just a move for M$ in to social gaming.

Also, extending the life of hardware also means less environmental damage etc. I think if this thing is any good it will kill the wii, as not only is it potentially a better social console, it also covers the market for serious gamers.

One to watch.

Saw this yesterday, and to be frank, it's just another admittance of defeat to the Wii from its competitors, who always, until now, maintained the attitude that the Wii and its controller concept would fail...

Sony too has jumped on the bandwagon...

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/8080436.stm

Some of the things they demoed on the Xbox at E3 were quite frankly bizarre and nothing to do with gaming. Speilberg being associated with the Natal may make headlines, but at the end of the day if you throw enough money at someone, they will endorse everything.

There is no "Wii killer" as much as the fanboys of the Xbox 360 and PS3 like to say there will be; we are approaching 4 years into the 7th gen now, and the Wii is still outselling both the PS3 and the 360 globally (and you have to bear in mind that Nintendo have yet to even drop the price from the always profit-making original RRP, whereas both Sony and Microsoft are still heavily subsidising vastly reduced prices and thus have been losing money on each and every unit sold), and has sold more than double the PS3 and almost double the Xbox (despite Microsoft launching the 360 a full year ahead of the Wii).

This is not innovation, it is simply evolution. They are both taking the Wiimote concept to the next logical step, outdoing it, but only just. The real innovator was Nintendo, and with these new controllers, the codename Revolution for the Wii is even more fitting.

slight update on Project Natal: According to some beta testers who have tested it out it has 0.8-0.10 second delay (source is Here ) which means it will struggle with the likes of FPS shooters and flight simulators and knowing Microsoft they will try to use it in EVERYTHING. also by looking at those videos who's gonna have a big enough living room for it to work and looking at how sensitive it is it's probably going to be along the lines of "is my right arm in the EXACT spot" rather than "oh this is so much fun talking to an artificial human" I've got a nasty feeling that they will release plastic accessories to act as objects such as guns and wands not to mention costing you an arm and a leg to get it (£100 quid for a propriety 120gb hard-drive? 80 quid for a wifi adapter? forget it!) as for the PlayStation "Arc" i dont have any hope for that either.
