just got this today for my xmas present and wonderin is this worth the price ??

Of course its worth the price fella, it is a tidy little camera imo. Yo might have got it a bit cheaper elsewhere, but it would have been internet sales, and returns are a pain in the arse etc. Will do you proud for many years im sure.

I have the S5700 - slightly less zoom but a supermacro facility (which I need for the job). The only drawback to the supermacro is that the falsh is of course far too powerful at just 0.4 inches range! I get around that by putting a piece of white sticky label over the flash window and then holding white card behind or to the side of the subject to give angled illumination.

The only other snag I have - I have yet to find a "softie" case that will fit

lol the fujifilm is look a popular camera i just hope mine lives to the expectations but it depends if i can use it properly raftl

True, there is alot to take in, i have only learnt what i have needed to for the pics i take. even then they are not as good as could be.

ya u got a good cam ther i got the fujifine pics s5700 evan tho i carnt use it proper it takes sum fine pics thumbsup
