Thats a bit too in-depth, glad you posted the results page lol!

No surprise to see all the big money-makes down towards the bottom!!!

But wtf, they never tested ESET Smart Security... I mean the industry standard in AV protection never got its firewall tested!

I'm hoping one of you guys can help me!
Last night I downloaded Comodo. I guess it finished as it asked me if I wanted to do a scan, which I did. Having had the scan running for over 12 hours, I figured something wasn't right and stopped it. When I turned lappy back on, it wouldn't connect to the interent - either wireless or ethernet. To get round this I restored to 2 days ago and did the download again.
Now it won't verify but it won't let me delete it either! I would expect it to show as a 'new programme' but it isn't and it's not showing on the control panel, only in c/prgramme files.
I had zonealarm installed which I stopped using a while ago, I'm sure I uninstalled it but there are still files in c/programme files - could this be the problem that it is conflicting with this or something else?
If you can help, please can you talk to me in 'non techy' talk. smack

12hrs
Well 2 instances must have been clashing with each other?
Either x2 comodo or comodo and another?

You lost connection due to new firewall rules being set by
the new software comodo. Or them Clashing.

Even windows fire wall could have still been active.

I think you will have to re-install comdo
and cancel the scan, then you can go to add remove and
uninstall it. Check Zone Alarm has been removed in add remove too.

Let us know how you get on

Hi Mark
That's part of the problem - it's not showing in the control panel for me to uninstall and it won't let me delete direct from the c drive / programme file.
I've done a search for 'zonealarm' which brought up several files but when i try and delete them (again they are not showing in control panel) i get 'access denied, file is full or in use'
Lappy is due a health check so I might see if i can get them to sort it!
Cheers

Another site that makes money by using an arbitary scoring system - nothing gets past my firewall but it appears as very low on the league table.

My security always looks lousy because I have an FTP server and hence port 21 is (partly) open but nothing gets past my firewalls despite continuos attacks (73 critical attacks in the last 16 hours) - things are improving - I used to get over 100 attacks every quarter of an hour.

I trust Steve Gibson (www.grc.com) - he has been around since the beginning (and has written some brilliant software), I somehow think his league table wouldn't be the same as others that are chasing money on the affiliates programs.
