Anyone else having problems using certain "interactive" parts of the BBC website?

The static pages are working just fine for me, but pages the the sports video reports and iPlayer minisite are dead as a dodo all afternoon...

Hmmmmm... well the iPlayer minisite is working again (literally just come back) but everything from last night has been wiped off!

I was trying to download Coal House last night till from about 11pm until about 5am this morning and it kept telling me that there were no programs available, even though it was listed, so I assume, with the outage today, they must have been suffering technical problems with the programs going up last night!

I do hope they get that coal house back up asap, its the first in the series (after the preview) and it looks excellent.

Hmmmm just went onto the iPlayer message boards to see if there was any info on the outage and got this:

You have to laugh at the pathetic state of the iPlayer atm... they have again just wiped everything off last night, although they had only managed to put 3 programs up since the last wipe anyway.

And nothing is up from tonight either... how fookin hard can it be for them to run this service, I mean wtf, the guy's over at UK Nova do an absolutely fantastic job, spending time capping, removing adverts, uploading etc, and all this is voluntary, with no profit made, no wages and no specialist equipment or a massive IT team with a £10 million budget...

I personally think the only reason the BBC iPlayer is still in BETA is because they know they are incompetent of running it 365 days a year, which is what they need to be doing.

The software itself should no longer be BETA, its pretty refined and stable now, its the bloody IT team that are still in BETA, most of em are probably only just doing their 11 yr old SATS.
