These have both been out for a while. The top one is just two 500GB drives working together, and has been around probably about 8 months or so.

The second one has been out for a good 4+ months, but is hard to find in the UK.

1TB drives arnt always good - the more platters into a 3.5" enclosure, the more likely you are to have problems down the line, the heat off them is immense and they have very little shock resistance.

Ye best getting a load of 320's/500's, or if you really need high volumes of storage space (like 4TB+), ye shouldnt really be using consumer products.

Imagine losing a whole 1TB of data omg

I agree with you Matt,

I've lost 200Gb worth twice, and even thats a nightmare.

Many smaller drives are better than one big one IMO

also quicker, i use mine in RAID Arrays
