Ulead all the way. Their video editing software is very simple to use, has lots of features and it works!

I cant remember what it was called what I used to use - Video Studio or sumthin, but I aint got it installed atm.

I use their DVD MovieFactory for making DVDs a doddle happy

Anyone got Ulead on an FTP server? Am having problems with Windows Movie Maker constantly crashing when I try to download the video's from my MiniDV cam.

Sick to death of WMM tbh, dunno why Microsoft find it so hard to make the program reliable...

Posted By: MattLFC Re: Video editing software - 29th Sep 2007 11:12pm
Ulead is fookin shite if you ask me... wow its MPEG4 video compression is terrible, WMM will do a 640x480 WMV video in a file half the size that Ulead can manage to do a 480x576 MPG video.

Talk about wasting disk space!!
Posted By: Mark Re: Video editing software - 29th Sep 2007 11:12pm
Dunno i'm having to use FF download window for the info.

dropped to 11.5kb

compress it using other software

ulead IMO is the best for editing (WMM is easier to use) but WMM constantly crashes for me frown

Matty ulead was never good at rendering thats why i used to convert my finised products with TVC (total video converter) cause yes for mpeg4 they are big which is kind of confusing.. But anyway still a good editor but yes you do need a converter ifyou wanted to upload sh** to youtube..

I need to be able to capture the video not just compress it. General compression software doesnt capture at the same time.

I think am just gonna do it on me media centre with WMM cba with this Ulead shite, its going.

Modern day MPEG4 should yield better results then 4 yr old WMV at the same file size, not in the case of Ulead though, they have seriously fooked it up!!!
Posted By: MattLFC Re: Video editing software - 30th Sep 2007 12:44am
Using some software that JVC provided with the camera now. Whilst it is only MPEG2 and using around 20MB per minute, its miles better then the Ulead crap lol.
