Users have two months to say whether they want to move to the new plans or stick with their existing contracts.

If they do not opt out they will be put on the new contract automatically.

Capped roaming charges will apply to all telecoms firms in the 27-member EU.

I wonder how this will affect me on o2, I already only pay 35p per minute to make a call and 28p per minute to recieve a call when I am abroad, I dunno if it will affect this pricing.

But one thing is for sure, it will affect most other networks in the UK who are charing £1.00+ per minute to make or recieve a call when abroad, so hopefully it will be the end of at least one big mobile phone rip off!
