This has been getting developed for years, IBM have a pretty good system that they displayed a couple of years back along with their prototype teleportation system.

But the problem with these type of technologies is they are still in their infancy and will be for many years to come, we just dont have the technology mature enough yet.

Id say these types of devices will become a conceivable commercial product in around 2015, with pricing dropping to acceptable levels around the 2020 mark.

Its just like VR, that kind of came, got developed to an acceptable standard, only to fade away because the technology was both too expensive and not quite mature enough.

Lol, Bill Gates one said he cant understand why anyone would ever need more then 640KB System RAM... buggered it all up for everyone as our motherboards still need 640KB and cant have anymore system RAM.
