Looking Towards Williamson Art Gallery (original).

Think this is in the right place, but not 100% what you think?

It may be.
But in the B/W picture there is like the top of a Tower Turret?
Is that still there today ?

Most of the buildings along Slatey road aren't there any more.

I was also looking for the police station that used to be there (got a pic from the 40's) and could not find any remains of it or any buildings next to it frown

The church in the background went many years ago - St Marks, it was on the corner of Slatey Road and Devonshire Road.

The photo is taken facing south (or physically up-hill)from about grange road west, the house on the left hand side of the road is still there.
