Can anyone tell me where Uncle Tom's Cabin was on Leasowe Road? The 1891 census records Samuel Howard (widowed) and his grandson James Howard and his wife and children residing at this address. I was told many years ago that it was close to where the railway bridge passes over Leasowe Road but I have not been able to verify this. Any help appreciated.

According to the 1900 Directory, it was between Wallasey Terrace and Reeds Lane, 5 properties from Reeds Lane and 3 from Wallasey Terrace. Can't find a map with it marked Uncle Toms Cabin.

Thank you for the information bert1 - at least I have a general idea of where it was situated. Must have passed where it was originally hundreds of times going between Moreton and St Georges Sec. Mod.
