Advice wanted on 18th Century land holdings wanted. James Manifold tenanted land and farmed in this area from 1762 to 1767.I am trying to locate his holding.Possibly land held by the Mostyn family or the Earl of Shresbury or the Stanley family. Are there tenancy records held for these properties at this period? Thankyou, bliplandy

Tithe maps are a good way to search for land owners and their tenants but I don't think they go as far back as the eighteenth century.
You can search by name for land owner and tenant, but a search for James Manifold finds nothing. Searching for the landowners you have stated find numerous plots.

Just done a search on the surname Manifold and found numerous plots occupied by Peter, Samuel and Elizabeth Manifold.
Elizabeth has the most plots in Ledsham, Neston.
