Horse buried in Whetstone Lane? - 10th Apr 2014 10:48pm
A while back there was an active member called 'Artymum'?? who promoted cultural/ history Events on here.
One such Event was a History Walk around Tranmere and myself, T.C and Suexx attended.
We were told that there is a horse buried on the grassland site at the top of Whetstone Lane (adjacent to Church Road and opposite the old convent).I forget the details now but the Guide also mentioned that this is why nearby Pubs have 'horsey names'.
I have spoke about this with T.C who does not recall this bit of the walk/talk. I wonder if anybody else knows anything??
Google shows up nothing I am convinced that I did not dream this- can anybody help?? This has been bugging me for months now.
