Noticed this building and wondered what it was originally.
If it was what in 1916 I've circled in 1st pic- rescue of what - dogs, cats, homeless people, unmarried mothers?

Pinzgauer - don't think it has anything to do with selling fishnet tights, corsets or Cynthia (though if it's what I think it may have been, a connection to the maternity hospital that was a bit further along on t'other side of road)

It was a Training home for girls, likely in the skills of service.

Oh Lord - laundry. It might not have been a pleasant experience but maybe saved the poor girls from something worse. A sort of workhouse?
