I am trying to find a source for school records for the Temple Road School for Girls.
My late Mother attended the school just before the 2nd World War. I am collating my family history and I would appreciate any help that readers can offer.

Birkenhead archives hold admission and discharge record books for schools in Birkenhead.its not a complete list as some records have not survived.

Historians might be interested in the piece below which mentions Temple Road School in the final paragraph.

There is this in the National Archives but to what depth I do not know.

Hi, welcome to Wiki.

I wrote a post a while ago about the school, which you can read Prenton Secondary School for Boys. It covers the history of the school both before and after the girls department was split off into a new school on the Bedford Road site. It covers a little of the period you are interested in.

The Girls school has a selection of posts in its own right on this site, but most refer to the 'new' school only. Check out the 'Schools' section on here.
