Can anyone help with this photo?
I borrowed this from a friend today, she says it is the barracks that were on the Shorefields New Ferry 2ndWW, and were later used as prefabs after the war, I remember the prefabs in the 50's, does anyone recognise anything here?
Chris.

Judging by the uniforms, I'd say it was WW1 not WW2. Bit before my time so could be wrong!

Thinking the same Pinz, different cap badges , some with none and puttees being worn.

Looking at the barracks/shed behind the men, the picture was taken before the widespread use of the Spirit Level or Plumb Line !! Maybe the camera tripod had lost a leg in action ?

Yes' I thought it was ww1 judging by the uniforms, don't think it's new ferry either, looks more like an army training barracks somewere.

Chris,

I wonder if its the Bebington Showgrounds that cropped up in the link recently.

maybe it is, but you can only see the huts in the back ground and nothing else that could give some sort of clue!
