The houses on Moorfield Drive, Parkgate were built in the mid 1930s. Can anyone tell me anything about them? At the time they were built, were they council houses? Were they built and sold or built and rented?

Hi Ray,
I'm almost certain they were never council houses, the best place to ask would be on this website here

Thanks nestonlad - anybody else?

They look to me as though they could have been council built (mainly because of their date and they are built in blocks of three)

I had a quick look at the link but couldn't find any sort of forum there.

Thanks sunnyside, that's the impression I get. Most council estates now have a large proportion of privately owned as a result of the sell-offs starting in the 80s. Its the first 10 years of their life I'm interested in.

Cheers
