On behalf of a friend could anybody tell me where the Goodyear Factory making aircraft wheels was situated in Seacombe about 1955?
I'm told it was within walking distance from the ferry

Thanks

Hi buddy, your interest in the goodyear plant, not only did it make aircraft tyres it also made motor racing tyers,my father was a salesman with them to the middle 50s,the site extended from aqua star the plumbers to toms cabin in birkenhead road, also the company had its own railway sidings might still be visible just at the side of uncle toms.
