Does anyone remember when a producer of Coronation Street got married at Wallasey Town hall? Think it was about 1961 or 1962. Ena Sharples (Violet Carson) had to be carried by police above the crowds that thronged to the Town Hall. I was outside the Wellington in Liscard and saw Harry Hewitt (can't remember his real name...) sitting with a glass of red wine in one of the upstairs windows of the ABC Capitol as that was where the reception was. Liscard was jam packed with people.

I would love to know more about this. Anyone else have memories?
