i went in the stork hotel a few weeks ago ,lovely place, a proper ale house. i remember my granddad used to go in there in the 50s ,anyone got any history on it please.

All that I can add is that my uncle's family managed it around that time, the Kellys. I worked, part-time, behind the bar for a time and I remember one of my uncle's sisters had an American boyfriend based locally. His mates brought a load of vodka in one night to be sold 'under the counter' but no-one liked it so my uncle's mum ended up lighting the fire with it every night.

Still a smashing little UNSPOILT pub.

aww my nan used to always drink in there, she used to live opposite in brunswick court, her name was molly loraine its a lovely old fashioned pub.

im sorry , shouldnt have called it an ale house its a proper pub. we lived in cathcart street.

my mums cousin had that pub in 1968. His name was Arthur Rogers.It was a good pub then.
