If we have not already done it, who remembers "The Witches Cauldron" club in Albion Street, New Brighton?

I believe it was a Rhythm n Blues club run by Clive Williams in the 60s. He brought over some Merseybeat acts to play there as well.

Was that the one was known as "The Late Extra"?
Used to go sfter the clubs closed in New Brighton and get out about 6am!!

No! but had a few lost nights in there as well. "W.C." was on the corner, opposite Hotel Victoria, in the cellar under what I think was a chemist's shop.

What about the Kraal Club I think it was down on the waterfront. It was a series of cellars with a bar and sitting room upstairs.

Remember it well. Run by John Stanley. No booze when I went there. Same place as where R.J.'s is now.
