A friend has a piece of sandstone inscribed "The Black Horse Inn Sandbrook Lane". I don't have dimensions at this moment, but he says that if it had been a door lintel, then it would have been a narrow door.
Sandbrook Lane is in Moreton, running towards Upton. Old maps show the route as finishing, then re-starting as Manor Drive near Upton.
I can find nothing to show a pub of that name in Sandbrook Lane at any time.
Any clues would be gratefully received.
