Memories of the 1993 cult hit film will flood back for many when Jamaica appears in Sochi next month
Their Olympic story was so feel-good it inspired one of the cult hit films of the 90s.
Now Jamaica's bobsledders are hoping to reignite the spirit of Calgary 1988 and Cool Runnings with a comeback at the Sochi Games next month.
Winston Watts, 46, a veteran of the sport and three previous Winter Olympics has come out of retirement to lead the push to qualify.
Barring some improbable maths, he believes his two-man team has made it ahead of the final races at St Moritz in Switzerland this weekend.
It would be a fantastic achievement and reignite memories for many of the 1993 film loosely based on the true story of the Jamaican bobsled team.
