Just what the FA like to see - an England manager involved in off-the-field controversy...

Fook you would have to kill all the other teams in the Fifa Top 50 to make England a "great" team!!! Lol!

Think you have been watching MOTD too much if you honestly believe that... who did he recall to the team the other day?? A certain Mr Golden Balls hasbeen in the hope his name could revive the team iirc??

And it will take more then one man to make the England team great; the whole squad need to get off their egotistical high-chairs and stop spitting out their dummies when they don't get their own way and get back to playing football. Nothing else, nothing more, nothing less, just playing football, not trying to attract media attention, not in for the fame, just to win games and play for the country!

If I had my way however, the team would be disbanded because there is nothing to play for right now, and all these pointless FA organised "friendlies" do nothing but fook up the Premiership season countless time's a year!!

lol no mate i dont i watch the games we crap we can not pass to each other at all we got no 2 players that can play up front together the only good thing is we got a ok defence

And the English football fans and media need to get real too, saying we "should" have beaten Croatia with ease??? WTF!!! Croatia beat us fair and sqaure, the reason we struggled to qualify and in the end failed, is simply because the team is not good enough, we are shite, nothing to do with Croatia getting lucky or use playing one bad game, iirc it was a group table that we failed to qualify from, not a single game, and this proves that England were not even first or second best in the group never mind in Europe as the public and media like to think!!

Even with a home advantage Croatia defeated us, and that tells us how good the England team is!!

excatly my point cappello is easily qualified to get the best group of players playing as a team and is a tactically aware manager the fact that he dropped "goldenballs" when in charge of madrid then bringing him back to help clinch la liga says he knows wot he doin...
Posted By: fordsteve Re: Capello Does The FA Proud - 11th Apr 2008 11:24pm
but that it he got all the best players he can and we still crap ok the manager needs to sort the team out but end of day it all down to the players on the pitch at end of night

All the previous managers (bar Mclaren; wtf were the FA thinking, just more FA spin imho) have had the pedigree, but the fact of the matter is the team is simply not good enough, and the players who are good enough, are stuck up thier own arses and not interested in playing alongside each other, but instead playing for glory.

It would be nice to England become a great team; but unfortunatly, we don't have the players to actually be so imho, even on paper, the team is lacking in many respects compared to the great teams of today and the past.

It's on paper that everyone usually looks at the pedigree of the England team because they are so shite on grass.

I know optimism is good matey, but how you can be so convinced the team are going places is beyond me... what was the last result btw?? I think that proves my point about England not being a "great" team despite the manager involved.
Posted By: MattLFC Re: Capello Does The FA Proud - 11th Apr 2008 11:34pm
And I don't consider even the modern-day France team to be a "great" team...

there aint any "great"teams these days all im sayin is we got enuf to build on.

My opinion will only change when the results come in... I think that's a good position to be in given England's track record from the past decade lol.
